WEEE Recycling
WEEE REGULATION
As per the WEEE regulations, Medguard Professional Healthcare Supplies will take back Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) from customers ‘free of charge’. At darcyevans, we take all our environmental obligations seriously and comply with all such legislation. These regulations are designed to promote the recovery of waste electrical and electronic equipment.
How does it work?
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) is taken back free of charge on a one for one, like for like basis. Waste batteries including rechargeable batteries are taken back free of charge. You are not obliged to make any purchase when returning old batteries. Each local authority must also accept household WEEE and small batteries free of charge at its recycling facilities. All WEEE and waste batteries must be recycled and should not be placed in any of your household wheelie bins. Make sure you always recycle your old electrical goods and batteries.
‘Takeback’ is on a one-for-one basis only and the product must be of a similar type or have performed the same function as the new item purchased. For example, if you are buying a new blood pressure monitor we will take back your old blood pressure monitor, (once it is of similar size and performs a similar function) , free of charge and ensure that it is disposed of in an environmentally correct manner.
darcyevans Healthcare will not take back contaminated Electrical and Electronic Equipment.
